Update – the Il Divo Book Club 2013

Me and Seb 15.02.12

hehe – me and Seb in 2012

Hello! Thanks you for waiting while I have been wondering what to do with the site. I have many followers on here, and also on Facebook and Twitter, and I have been deliberating with what to do, since I have put a lot of work into this site. I have decided two things I love – books and music into one, making this the ‘Il Divo Book Club’. Once a week will post a round-up of Il Divo news and photos, along with other musicians I enjoy, such as Mario Frangoulis, Vittorio Grigolo, Patrizio Buanne and Pablo Alboran. I can’t post as much as I used to, but you will able to get a weekly round-up of news without having to go elsewhere, which is something that many of you have told me you hate doing.

Once a month, a book will be selected to read for the ID Book Club. Anyone can make a suggestion, but I will be gently probing ID members and other performers for suggestions. Because we are already one week into January, I won’t put up a book, but rather continue with the 50% promo of my books, Blood in the Valencian Soil and Night Wants to Forget on Kindle. Both are also available in paperback on amazon.com and Blood in the Valencian Soil is also available for other e-readers on Books4Spain. Remember, you don’t need a Kindle to read Kindle books, you can download a free app on your computer or phone to read.

I might, might, even be persuaded to re-open my Il Divo fan-fictions again for reading throughout the year. I could keep you going on those alone! But I think ID suggested readings would be way more fun :)

To keep up with the Night Wants to Forget Il Divo Book Club, remember to sign up Facebook Il Divo Book Club and new on  Twitter  @IlDivoBookClub There will be extra treats on the FB and twitter accounts throughout the week :)

Singing stallion

“Do you mind if I take my jacket off?” sexy tenor Vittorio Grigolo asked guests including Anna WintourMuffie Potter Aston and Lauren Santo Domingo at the Carnegie Hall Medal of Excellence Gala before cueing his guitarist to playfully strum the theme from “Sex and the City” for the benefit of Sarah Jessica Parker. Grigolo then launched into tunes from “Rigoletto” and “West Side Story,” throwing in “Volare” and the Gipsy Kings’ “Bamboleo” for good measure. He even did a dance with a pink rose in his teeth and called out to Parker, “Jessica! Jessica!” “He was supposed to sing three songs, but you never know where Vittorio’s going to go,” said a source. Another guest at the Waldorf Astoria black-tie bash honoring society fotog Bill Cunningham added, “I think he wasn’t going to leave the stage till he’d made love to every woman in the room by singing!” The Italian stallion later reappeared in a black T-shirt, tux and Ray-Bans at an after-party where he pulled gala co-chair Mercedes Bass onto the floor. The recently divorced opera patron was game and the two boogied big-time to DJ Cassidy. When Bass took a breather, she even pumped her hands in the air at a table, and Grigolo jumped to songs by Rihanna and Ke$ha. The night raised $1.5 million for Carnegie Hall, and Cunningham made a tearful speech after being introduced by Annette de La Renta and Sanford Weill. He even worked the room, taking pictures of partiers at his own event.
