Innocence: “I think having a baby means that it fits your life and not vice versa”
Her ex, Carlos Marin, Il Divo, will be the godfather of the child
Only days after premiering as a mother, Geraldine Larrosa, also known as Innocence, her stage name, has talked exclusively to Divinity.es. Relaxed and fully dedicated to her newborn, Scarlett, but already planning to combine motherhood with her career, tells how she has endured pregnancy and their fears, feelings and goals.
Instilled at home after being discharged from hospital, says Geraldine happy that Scarlett “is a wonderful girl, lets me sleep and behaves very well, she just cries just to ask for food” . ”Because she is so good I’m delighted,” says the singer, happy with her new life.
Little Scarlett, first daughter of the couple formed by her and actor and singer Sergio Arce , born last March 6 after a “wonderful and natural” childbirth. “I had a pregnancy without dizziness and in which I could eat everything,” describes Geraldine, which had suffered cravings only for the first few months, when “I always wanted to eat grapes and seafood,” which can not be interpreted as a great inconvenience.
Gone with the Wind
And, after delivery, Innocence has begun a new era in her personal and family life that she still has to adapt to.”Sometimes I get scared of ‘what shall I do with her? My first thought when I saw her was that she wished her all the happiness in the world and all your wishes be fulfilled,” says the singer excitedly.
On the choice of such an original name for her daughter, Geraldine is said to have cinematic inspirations.”I wanted a powerful name, unique and special, which had force. As a child I loved Scarlett O’Hara in ‘Gone with the Wind,’ and I decided to use the name” she admits. ”The whole world comes to mind with Scarlett Johansson, I do not care, but I’m not going out there, ” she laughs.
For its part, the relationship with Sergio has strengthened even more. “Sergio helps me a lot, and is a doting father” insists Geraldine. ”By force, the arrival of a child joins the couple more. We are in love with a beautiful and wonderful girl, ” she laughs while explaining that although “now is the time to put all the love and desire in it” , she would like “to be a young couple.”
However, even now she engages in body and soul to the small child, she wants to return to work as soon as possible.”Scarlett is now one more person who fits into my life, and I think that we will not have any problems. I think having a baby means that it fits your life, not that you have to adapt to yours the newborn,”says the singer, who returns to the recording studio in June. ”The sooner I start to combine my new life with the job better,” she says.
About whether their future career plans fit, Innocence believes that the newborn has arrived at the right time. ”I’ve done many things, I’m at a mature stage and my dreams were made and that although continue with my career, I think Scarlett comes at an appropriate time because I can fully devote myself to her ” without any dreams outstanding.
Finally, Geraldine has had good words from her former partner, the singer of ‘Il Divo’ Carlos Marin, one of the first to congratulate her on her motherhood. ”He’s going to be the godfather of the child. We live a very nice life together, life itself separated us and we realised that it was not worth getting hurt if we can get along, ” she says.
