Yes, easy on the tim tams (which are delicious chocolate biscuits, in case you haven’t seen them. A nine pack of tim tam biscuits have more fat and calories than a Big Mac). Go easy, indeed.
David – is on holiday after finishing La Traviata. There are photos out and about from the opera, though they are all pretty similar. Other than that, he tweets while pretending to be his dog.
Carlos – Carlos was happy to blurt out that Il Divo are the guest on Michael Ball’s new album ‘Both Sides Now’, due out February 25, 2013, followed by a UK tour in April and May. ID have recorded Love Changes Everything with Michael. You can hear Michael singing it here -

For all those that are asking, the track we’ve recorded (well re-recorded in my case!) is one of my favourite songs ‘Love Changes Everything’ Il Divo bring a completely new dimension to the track and I’m so pleased with the way it’s turned out. Lots of people said ‘who is Michael Ball?’ He is one of the greatest singers around. He was the original Marius in Les Miserables in the 80′s and has jumped from hit to hit ever since. If you don’t know him, you have been missing out. One person had the nerve to suggest that ID are too good for Michael Ball, but instead ID should be honoured, as Carlos said he was. This puts ID in the path of many Michael Ball fans.
This article came out the other day Pop opera pin-ups Pop opera pin-ups Il Divo outsell SuBo and One Direction: How Cowell’s cheesiest creation conquered the world and it sparked a lot of bemoaning from ID fans. How dare they call ID cheesy? Come on, some of the act is cheesy. Some songs choices are no good. We all have our own likes and dislikes. I say, embrace the cheesiness and love the rest. Whatever squeezes the money from music fans wins, and this formula is doing the job. No, the woman who wrote the article was not an ID fan, and that is good. If an ID lover wrote it, it would be a biased interview. This woman couldn’t care less either way. She just wrote the facts as she heard them. It’s not worth tears, it’s the Daily Mail. Does anyone read that paper anyway? The best bit was Carlos moving to Paraguay, which got so many people mad. Why, was he going to see you walking down the street close to where you live, and fall in love with you? Yeah…. no, not going to happen. Did Carlos correct this article when people asked him? No, no he didn’t. Leave him be. He can buy houses wherever he likes. South America is awesome.

Yes, wildly expensive M&Gs are available. I love hearing stories of people giggling and being speechless and acting silly at M&Gs. It’s great for laughs. They are regular people, but when it costs you $500 for 30 seconds, I guess that changes persepctive somehow. There are three new dates that just got added -

May 14 – Majestic Theater – San Antonio, TX
Told you there would be more. I sometimes wonder why they don’t tap into new markets, instead of the same ones, but then I guess they go with what works (and I don’t care that much anyway).

Why did Carlos move to Paraguay? Because he is part of an elite training squad to bring down drug cartels in nearby Columbia. They are training in the forest to enhance their survival skills. Come on! Men move for two things – work and women. Work is in London and Madrid. I’m sorry, who cares?
Where does Tania Rodney live? In London, far away from the people who stalk her, with some luck.
Does Carlos Marin have false teeth? ROTFLMAO No. They are unnaturally white, but real.
Does Carlos Marin wear a wig? No, I have touched his hair (accidentally). It’s real.

How much does Carlos Marin weigh? I get asked this weekly. He weighs less than an elephant, but more than a flamingo.
Does Urs Buhler have a wooden leg? Yes, but he keeps his eye patch and parrot at home.
Are Il Divo sexy? You tell me.
What is Sebastien Izambard’s home address? Why, so you can stalk him? He won’t love you, the woman who tried to get to him while he was sitting on the toilet in Hong Kong failed, and so shall you
Is David Miller okay? I don’t know, is he? He is okay at singing, probably not so good at dressing as a woman.
Someone thanked me for the site a few days ago, and then mentioned that I sound less interested in ID than I did, say, a year ago. My interest is the same, I’m just adding my own opinion more than I used to. That could be why you see a difference. I didn’t enjoy the show I saw in the 2012 tour more than the show I saw in 2009, but overall, it was okay. I’m not in love with ID, or any particular member of the group, maybe that makes me sound less interested. I don’t know. ID is a small interest of mine, in among a lot of other things, so it only gets a fraction of my time.

Also, no more messages about Carlos moving to Paraguay with his girlfriend. He doesn’t HAVE to tell you anything if he doesn’t want to.
Il Divo weekly round-up: Divo’s for hire and David shines in Florida
The weekly ID Book Club news round-up minus the Divo worship 
I never got a chance to post anything here all week, so we are straight into the round-up. News was quiet, other than Carlos, Sebastien and Urs flew to Jakarta to perform at the wedding of Jonathan Tahir and Michelle Kartika Alim (that’s one hell of a party!) It was a private event, not a public ID show, but Carlos couldn’t help himself and tweeted a picture of the three of them with Jackie Chan
(Again, this must of been one hell of a party) I would have been interested to know what they sound like as a threesome… just a random thought…
There were a few other pics taken, by the Twilite Orchestra, who played with ID, with conductor Alex Frits, and these photos are courtesy of them.
I hope they got a discount for only getting three Divo’s… I’m kidding (bet it cost a fortune)
This brought a swathe of people who were surprised that you can hire ID for parties, weddings, etc. Of course you can! China, Russia, Kazakhstan, they’ve played it privately. And why not? I mean, I’m not hiring them for my birthday parties, but I think it’s the first time they have played as a threesome (tell me if I’m wrong). Davey boy was busy doing what he loved to take the job, that’s kind of cool.
Anyway, David and Sarah Joy were in Florida, reminding themselves how good at opera they are. All reports are glowing (though, naturally are all from divas who would lose a limb just a say hello to Dave, but let’s believe them) and there are pictures everywhere. I got these from tumblr, but are from Cathy, one of the best diva photographers around

Seb made a quick foray in FB, which can be dangerous at the best of times, and posted (this is a direct quote)
It’s snowing woaw it’s beautiful… kids have been waiting for so long and i feel myseld like a kid myself. It’s funny Luca and Rose keept asking me, Dad it snows in winter isn’t it ? Why can’t we see any snow. We talk about the climate change etc… and here comes the snow yeahhhh. We love it.

What’s so cute about this too is Rose is really creative and loves being with mummy in her office making things… They are the love of my life.
Rose and I are going to compose a song this week. She makes up songs all the time i think Jude will be at the drum and Luca will take the guitar, i ll take the piano with mummy. It could be great fun.
Thinking of you guys. Sorry if you don’t hear a lot about me i am so overwellmed with loving being at home fixing things, enjoying the kids, spending time with my precious wife etc… By the way i think i am not good at telling her this directly but she is very precious. shhhh.

Sure, you could chase every little bit of news, and sit wondering if photos posted are new or just re-posted old ones – or you could just get the newest stuff. I don’t engage in Divo worship, so here is the facts without the swooning.

That guy Urs (as I call him) has been posing for photos with this girlfriend Kelly Phelan That guy Urs stands in the desert I know there has been a lot of hating about Urs spending the holidays in Vegas and not with his daughter, but please, stop posting it here. I deleted all those posts before they went public. I don’t care what Urs does in his spare time, I have no time for the guy.
He also did a short interview called Il Divo-Tenor Bühler kam erst mit 20 seinem Heimatkanton heraus I speak no German, but here is my crappy translation. Don’t get in my face about the ‘husband and father’ quote, it says what it says, let’s just go with it -

That guy Urs also did an English interview, and I won’t lie, I think he sounded a bit silly about the KJ comments. Not all fans are jealous of you being on stage with a pretty lady. Sure, some are crazy, but you aren’t that popular, dude. In fact, your popularity seems to be at an all-time low (but let’s not talk about that). Here it is - Concert will put a Kat among the nightingales
For what it’s worth, I don’t care that ID and KJ are teaming up. They have been doing the same thing for years, and a change is needed, albeit for just a handful of shows. I am not a huge fan of the female soprano voice, but KJ is a good singer. I’m not going to the shows, so it makes no difference to me, but I’m sure they will be good. People have no need to go hating on KJ. If you want to see only ID, wait until then!

Carlos and Geri in Madrid (not Barcelona like my autocorrect put on FB – grrrr)
Carlos is busy in Madrid and working with Geraldine on her new album. I like Geri, so I love when they work together.
Carlos did a short interview on movie choices Pasiones de cine (with English translation) The man has good movie tastes.
He also did a cheesy interview about wanting to bed Katherine Jenkins, but (just) redeemed himself about talking about wanting to be a tenor Preview: Il Divo and Katherine Jenkins at Metro Radio Arena
