Yes, a bit soppy for me I know, but I am a huge royal wedding fanatic. So here are the highlights of the wedding – the dresses, the ceremony, the carriage ride, and of course…. the kiss!
The second dress!
Carlos did an interview his evening in Madrid on Punto Radio with Federico Sanchez Aguilar. If / when I get the link for the recording I will pop it in here. Meanwhile, Carlos’ sister Rosie has kindly uploaded two more videos of Carlos, one of an interview at Poker de Voces a few evenings ago, and another of the memorable interview of Carlos falling into the “what do you think of my dress?” question at the Armani Le Femme Bleue launch in Madrid in March.
For those who are reading along with me, the wedding is re-published in AEWID. The song Luna walked down the aisle to? Rejoice of course!
And the recorded version -
Here is a quick picture tweeted by Geraldine today taken when she and Carlos were backstage after the show performed by “Poker de Voces” - Daniel Diges, David Ordinas, Geronimo Rauch and Ignasi Vidal who are four individual artists (pictured here) come have together to do musical, pop, rock and opera songs from various shows they have each acted in. Geraldine tweeted that they had a wonderful time at the Teatro Häagen-Dazs Calderón in Madrid.
Here is a video of the show, with Carlos and Ger appeared at about 40 seconds.
All of the 2,000 tickets, priced €120-220, for the Bratislava Il Divo concert have already been sold after going on sale on April 22, however fans are still watching http://www.ticketportal.sk/ in case tickets become available. My languages skills are not perfect, however I cannot find anywhere tickets are still available, the Il Divo page on the website now only gives this information -
Date: 08/11/2011 at 20:30 h
Place of event: Bratislava Castle
Description:
Four voices that will sound fantastic in the beautiful area of the Western Terrace castle.
Foursome fantastic singers and heartthrobs IL DIVO come to Slovakia. Tenor David Miller of the U.S., Spanish baritone Carlos Marin, Swiss tenor Urs Bühler and pop singer Sebastien Izambard of France, along with an orchestra will give Slovaks an unforgettable evening.
The majesty of their concerts and their appearance with the orchestra, IL DIVO, in addition to their charisma and great voices, will have a beautiful environment where they will sing. The concert will be held held in the courtyard of Prague Castle open-air 11th August, a castle, fortification and historic building.
Pula in Croatia hosted a concert in their Roman amphitheater from the 3 century BC, with almost 40-thousand fans, and in 2009 El Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona was even admired by their 20-thousand Il Divo fans. The Slovak concert will not be as larger and only the fastest who manage to catch a valuable ticket from a limited number will attend, only 2,000 tickets available.
Il Divo’s secret of their success lies in their passion,, which proves to be an irresistible aphrodisiac. All four use the emotional Esperanto of love and reflect the multicultural and multinational character of this group. Their songs are in fact in several languages. Just the song Hallelujah from the concert in Pula, sung in Spanish, on Youtube.com has been viewed by a total of more than 5 ½ million people.
Fantastic four voices, one unforgettable evening Vivien EXCLUSIVE. http://www.vivien.sk/
The opinion was put out there by someone that perhaps Il Divo are using this amazing location to do a promotional DVD for the new album to be released in November, although there is no official word of this, it is only speculation. However it would a be a great place to do it!
